  • PARIS, FRANCE-- On December 2, 2015, activists from 350.org chanted "keep it in the ground" while bouncing a symbolic 'carbon bubble' in the air at COP21. The action today took place just before an announcement by 350.org on the divestment campaign, which stated that "more than 500 institutions representing over $3.4 trillion in assets have made some form of divestment commitment."<br />
<br />
Today is the third day of COP21 which is being held in Paris, France, at the Le Bourget conference center. <br />

  • On November 6th, over 60 people continued the sit-ins at the Prime Minister's Residence in Ottawa. This #ClimateWelcome was the second day of a four day series of events targeting the new Canadian Prime Minister. Today youth, parents, grandparents and leaders from the climate justice brought 'gifts'. When the Prime Minister did not come and accept the gifts the participants risked arrest by sitting in on the street. #ClimateWelcome sit ins will resume again tomorrow with twice as many participants and more gifts. • On November 5th, 38 people from all over Canada came to Ottawa to give the new Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, a #ClimateWelcome. Today, youth, parents, grandparents and leaders from the climate justice movement brought the Prime Minister “gifts”: scientific studies, Indigenous treaties, and economic reports all confirming that tar sands needs to stay in the ground. In the end, these gifts were received by the assistant to the Prime Minister -- but the #ClimateWelcome sit ins will resume again tomorrow with twice as many participants and more gifts.

  • On April 29th, 2017 over 150,000 people marched through the streets of Washington DC for climate action, jobs, and justice. On Trump’s 100th day in office, we sent a *very* political message: This isn’t Trump’s America — it’s ours. Climate change isn’t a hoax — it’s a crisis. And the climate movement isn’t giving up or going away.<br />

  • Cop 21: Paris, France<br />
 <br />
<br />
Environmental activists across all parts of the world gathered on 12, Dec 2015 at the floor of the Eiffel tower in Paris to protest against the capitalistic corporations that have taken the rooms of climate negotiations in Cop 21.<br />
 <br />
<br />
The environmental crisis is taking alarming proportions in the world today.<br />
 <br />
<br />
Later in the day, activists will take to a major boulevard to unroll two 100-meter banners with the slogans "Keep It In The Ground" and "Crimes Climatiques, Stop!" Afterward, they will place over 5,000 red tulips along the banners, the newspaper added.<br />
 <br />
<br />
The action was coordinated by the 350.org climate-focused initiative, whose collective ambition has been to force the governments to have a transparency commitment towards adapting to climate change.<br />
 <br />
<br />
The action was packed with thousands of activists who had a clear target towards the climate crisis.<br />
