On Trump’s 100th day in office, we sent a *very* political message: This isn’t Trump’s America — it’s ours. Climate change isn’t a hoax — it’s a crisis. And the climate movement isn’t giving up or going away.

 • Various African and the small islands civil society groups made an action this afternoon at the UN climate talks, in Paris to demand for a binding agreement that will see the temperatures reduce by 1.5 degrees celsius.

In April 2015, African ministers called for a strong Paris Agreement that will also highlight the climate finance strategy.

With more than 150 countries set to approve a new climate change agreement under the UN in Paris, the civil society stressed the region’s readiness and requirement for accelerated financing of low-carbon development.

Africa, with its vulnerable populations and vast potential, has perhaps the most to lose from climate change and the most to gain from an effective climate change agreement.
