Members of La Via Campesina, the "International Peasant Movement" of indigenous communities, march against REDD+. The new policy of "Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation" purports to assist in monitoring the carbon emissions of agrarian enterprises but the Campesina movement describes the policy as aiding the privatization of agricultural land and encourages the establishment of large, monocultural plantations.
