PARIS, FRANCE-- Youth activists from the Indigenous Peoples' Caucus chanting "How low can you go?" at an action this morning at COP21. The activists were holding a rope representing the 1.5 degrees Celsius limit of global temperature rise that is necessary to stay below to prevent climate change disasters. The youth activists along with Chief Bill Erasmus were asking delegates to commit to staying below 1.5 degrees in the climate negotiations and invited them to show their commitment by doing the limbo underneath the rope at the action.
On December 4, 2015, the COP21 entered its 5th day of negotiations at the United Nations Climate Change conference. The COP21 is being held in Paris, France, at the Le Bourget conference center.
