CANNONBALL, ND-- On Thursday, November 24, 2016, on Thanksgiving Day, the Water Protectors at Standing Rock continued their resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline. They constructed a bridge and used canoes to cross the water to Turtle Island, a Native American burial site, to reclaim the site. Police watched the action from the top of the hill, armed with tear gas canisters, as hundreds of people crossed the water. 'Given what we are currently fighting against, Thanksgiving is not really a celebration for us,' says Dallas Goldtooth
