Biosand Filters and Brick tanks: A water solution in Gomba, Uganda

Najjuma Mary and Annette Nakamya pour water into a Biosand filter which is intricately filled with layers of sand and stones of various textures that help to biologically filter the water. Over 45 women with families have trained on how to construct the Biosand filters and the impact has trickled to their households and to the schools which their children attend.
